"There was almost nothing left of the aircraft," Deputy Mayor Manolis Foundoulakis told local outlet Newsit upon arriving at the scene shortly after the impact.
Foundoulakis added that two of the victims were recovered from the wreckage itself, while the third body was located a short distance from the debris field.

A blaze erupted following the impact, drawing emergency crews and local residents to the site. Firefighters worked through the afternoon and had the flames fully extinguished by Monday evening. A formal investigation into the cause of the crash is now under way.
