She recalled being in a room with other children when Dott entered. Wanting to go downstairs, she said he offered to carry her on his back — a "coaksey," as she described it — which she accepted.
"He carried me down the stairs and we got to the bottom of the landing. There was a hall window that looks out onto the street. He stopped. He started caressing my backside with his hands."
She explained this happened while her legs were still wrapped around him. The witness added that Dott allegedly touched her over her clothing for what she estimated was "maybe a couple of minutes." Prosecutor Lindsey Dalziel pressed her on whether Dott had spoken during the episode. The woman recalled the remark struck her as strange.
"I think he said 'does that feel nice' or something. I cannot recall."
A further alleged incident involved Dott reportedly asking whether she wished to play a "guessing game" at the house. The witness claimed he then suggested she lower her trousers, lifted her top, and began kissing her "belly." She also described inappropriate touching on that occasion. She told the court the abuse had occurred on several separate occasions.
Allegations Concerning the Boy
In a separate set of claims, Dott is alleged to have made sexual remarks to a boy, entered a bathroom to watch him shower, and molested him.
Disclosure and Police Contact
When asked whether she had told anyone at the time of the incidents, the witness replied:
"No. Graeme told me not to."
She said it was several years later before she first confided in a friend, though she did not go into specifics. She also spoke with a teacher before meeting police in January 2001. The court heard that officers came to her door in 2024. Dalziel asked whether she had done anything to prompt the police visit.
"No, I was in complete shock."
The trial, presided over by Judge Lord Harrower, continues.
