She recounted how bar employees instructed guests to board vehicles and depart immediately, though only two cars were available. Eleven individuals attempted to squeeze into a single small automobile, while Boorer’s mother was in a vehicle positioned closer to the advancing flames.
“The place we had breakfast in has burnt down. Agios Pavlos hotel has burnt down, the place we did yoga in has also burnt down.”
Firefighter Memorial and Ongoing Response
The Hellenic Fire Service’s chief, Theodoros Vagias, offered his condolences regarding the two deceased firefighters, identifying them as 58-year-old Emmanouil Stratidakis and 25-year-old Pantelis Diamantakis. Both will receive burial services on Thursday.
