Man charged in Great Yarmouth teen – A 34-year-old Romanian national has been charged with raping and sexually assaulting two teenage girls during an incident at South Beach Parade in Great Yarmouth. The arrest occurred when the suspect was detained at Dover port upon re-entering the UK on Sunday. Norfolk Police confirmed the charges, which include one count of rape and two sexual assault offenses. He is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Incident Timeline and Manhunt

The alleged attack took place shortly after midnight BST on 16 May. Officers were called to the scene following reports of the incident, prompting an immediate manhunt. The suspect, identified as Madalin Ilinca, was apprehended during his return to the UK. Police have not yet released details about the victim’s condition or the exact circumstances of the assault.

Norfolk Police stated that the suspect was a Romanian national and had been stopped at Dover port upon re-entering the UK.

Second Suspect Remains in Custody

Another male in his 30s, arrested in Northamptonshire on 17 May under suspicion of involvement in the same case, is still on police bail until 10 August. Investigators continue to gather evidence to determine his role in the alleged incident.
