The couple’s journey took a pivotal turn in Casa Amor, the separate villa where relationships face challenges from new arrivals. Lorenzo believes he “manifested” crossing paths with Julia there, while she recalled feeling an “instant spark” upon meeting him. Together, they characterized their bond as “seriously unserious.”

The Runners-Up and Third Place

Jasmine Muller, a 27-year-old fashion entrepreneur, revealed to Maya that she was drawn to Kavan’s “aura” when they first connected. The 21-year-old had entered as a bombshell, and viewers were taken aback when it emerged he was the sibling of day-one contestant Aidan Murphy.

Many fans compared the situation to Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty, a series centered around a romantic triangle involving two brothers. During the finale, Kavan expressed his gratitude, stating he “couldn’t be luckier” to share the villa experience with both his brother and Jasmine.

Meanwhile, Angelista Gunda and Simba Kudyiwa secured third place. Simba, who celebrated his 25th birthday while inside the villa, shared with Maya that his immediate goal as a nurse would be to host a celebration for Angelista’s birthday, which falls on Tuesday.

Twists and Turns Throughout the Series

The path to the final was paved with dramatic developments. Ex-islanders returned to cast votes determining which couple should be eliminated. Mica Harris and Samraj Toor received the most votes and were forced to depart. Before leaving, they selected another pair to join them in going home—Yasmin Hadlow and Tommy Stagg, who were announced as missing out on a final spot at the start of Monday’s episode.

Tommy offered comfort to Yasmin, assuring her: “I’ve got you and that’s all I care about.”

This marks the 13th UK series of the dating show, which has kept audiences engaged over eight weeks with 32 islanders. Early on, bombshells Yasmin and George Knight were granted the authority to eliminate day-one contestants Ellie Chadwick and Samraj. However, rather than leaving, they were sent on dates with fresh arrivals instead.

Priya Jaswal’s National Rail Controversy

Islander Priya Jaswal faced criticism from both fellow contestants and viewers after making a comment about dumped contestant Elicia Bailey. After learning that Elicia had labeled her the “biggest game player” on Love Island: Aftersun, Priya suggested Elicia should “go back” to her National Rail position rather than appearing on the spin-off program.

Kavan defended rail workers, noting there was “nothing wrong with working on the National Rail.” The RMT Union amplified the conversation by resharing the clip on Instagram alongside footage of railway employees, concluding with: “Rail workers and proud.”

Priya subsequently issued an apology on Aftersun, acknowledging her remark was “completely out of line” and “catty,” explaining that emotions had become “very heightened” after weeks in the villa. During the live finale, she addressed Elicia directly, clarifying that her comment was “not meant to be a job-shaming comment.”
